Morgan Wallen has joined forces with Tennessee-based non-profit Greater Good Music to provide Thanksgiving dinners to 2,000 families in need. Several Tennessee communities were provided meals, including Wallen’s hometown of Sneedville in Eastern Tennessee.

Since 2022 has been an especially difficult year with the rising inflation and historically high food costs, on top of the fact that more than 42 million people could be facing hunger in the U.S., this non-profit is making a difference in helping those who are struggling to afford Thanksgiving dinner for their family. The distributions at local high schools and food pantries took place this weekend.

One of those high schools was Waverly High School, in Waverly, Tennessee. With Wallen’s help, Greater Good Music was able to deliver turkeys to more than 300 of these middle Tennessee families on Sunday, (Nov. 20). This was also the site of the historic flood that swept through the town in 2021, which tragically took lives and destroyed many homes.

Volunteers from Joseph’s Storehouse food ministry were on site to help distribute the turkeys, stuffing, and fresh fruits and vegetables to families.

In addition to those in middle Tennessee, 600 families in Pike County, Kentucky, who also lost homes in the flood this summer, received complimentary holiday dinners to ensure that their families would have a warm meal to enjoy together this season.

This isn’t the first time the “You Proof” singer and his More Than My Hometown Foundation have partnered with Greater Good Music. On several stops on his massive 2022 Dangerous Tour, the organization identified food-insecure communities and organized food distributions donated by Wallen. In doing so, more than 500,000 people in need were fed before showtime.

Named after his 2020 hit, Wallen’s Foundation launched in 2021 with the mission to help young people in need find a forever family and aid them in establishing the best life that they can for themselves.

In addition to helping Greater Good Music, Wallen’s 2022 tour also raised nearly $3 million for his foundation that funds several causes close to his heart. This is the result of selling tickets to nearly 1 million of his fans and donating $3 for every ticket sold during his 2022 Dangerous Tour to the foundation.

“Awards are awesome, but my true measure of success is my fans, who this year I got to see every single night out on the road and will continue to do so for many years to come,” the country star shared in a release.

Wallen’s efforts greatly align with the non-profit’s mission, which according to their official website, is to “partner with nationally known music artists on tour to supply healthy food distributions before show time to low-income women, children, and elderly so they do not have to go hungry. We turn concert day into a day of giving.”

After recently concluding his headlining tour in support of his latest full-length record, Dangerous: The Double Album, Wallen showed that he’s showing no signs of slowing down because new music is already in the works.

His caption read, “Last show for a while. Now it’s onto album grind mode, let’s get it.”

The 55-date tour launched in February at the famed Madison Square Garden and took Morgan Wallen across the country, breaking attendance records and selling out 11 of the venues faster than any other act.

As of now, his next show is scheduled for March 19 in Australia for the CMC Rocks festival.
