Man, this keeps happening and it just fucking sucks for everyone involved. Just last night, black metal outfit Venom Inc. announced that issues surrounding the band’s U.S. visas are forcing them to sit out their own headlining tour.
Though the band has yet to release an official statement on the matter, someone handling their social media accounts responded to fan comments about the news, stating that they were “fucked by the US government on a simple interview to hand a passport over!!! WTF!!” If it was as simple as just missing a meeting and now they’re unable to perform the 16 dates they originally had planned out, that’s pretty fucked.
Venom Inc. was originally supposed to tour the U.S. with Eyehategod, Ringworm, and Cult of Lilith to support their latest album release, There’s Only Black. Dates starting in New York City on October 27 and then ending in Boston on November 13.
With Venom Inc. unable to perform, Eyehategod announced that they were going to run their own headlining tour with Brat and Total Hell.
Who knows when Venom Inc will be able to tour the U.S. or if they’ll be able to make those dates up again. If you already had tickets to one of the dates below, you should reach out to the vendor you purchased them from to see about getting refunds or anything like that.
The dates that were canceled were as follows:
