WILD HEAT’s ‘Hustle’ | Metal Addicts

[ad_1]

Wild Heat are a high-energy hard rock band from Belfast, channelling the glory days of Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, LA Guns, et al.

They formed in 2016 when Carlos (lead guitar) invited his tattoo artist Dave (rhythm guitar) to jam with him. Dave began asking around for a vocalist and found Tommy, who was the co-owner of an art supplies store near Dave’s tattoo shop. Neal (bass) and Kostas (drums) answered online advertisements for a rhythm section and the unit was complete.

Their plan was to reinvigorate the music business from within by writing massive sing-a-long hits (which industry insiders would love in spite of themselves) while mapping out tours in the shape of the Van Halen logo.

Wild Heat’s debut album “Call of the Void” was released in 2018 to critical acclaim; it was named as one of the top 10 records of the year by New Wave of Classic Rock co-founder Jeremy Wills and received extensive airplay all across Europe and the US.

The Covid hiatus lasted more than half the life of the band (23 months of gigging followed by a 24-month break!) but 2022 was an eventful year for Wild Heat, seeing them sign with Distortion Project Records, release their long-awaited second album, and support the legendary Sunset Strip sleaze-rockers Pretty Boy Floyd.

Wild Heat’s radio-ready fusion of classic AOR and 80s metal draws you in with explosive riffs and catchy hooks, but every listen will reveal more intricate melodies layered over pounding beats and driving basslines. The result is a feel-good sound guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
