Tempt drop video for new single “Burn Me Down” from upcoming self-titled album
New York rockers Tempt consisting of lead vocalist Zach Allen, guitarist Harrison Marcello, bassist Chris Gooden and drummer Nick Burrows have unveiled a video for their new single “Burn Me Down” from their upcoming self-titled album, which will be released via Better Noise Music on August 25, 2023.
SRO PR‘s press release indicates in part (with slight edits):
“In the few years since their formation, NYC modern rock outfit Tempt have created a style, verve, vibe and quality that is of their own making. Their tailored virtuosity is reminiscent of the giant rock acts of the 70s and 80s with a layer of timelessness that makes their music instantly memorable. The band — Zach Allen (lead vocals), Harrison Marcello (lead guitar), Christopher Gooden (bass) and Nicholas Burrows (drums) — are set to release their self-titled debut album on August 25th via Better Noise Music. The album was co-produced and mixed by Grammy Award-winner Chris Lord-Alge (Harry Styles, Foo Fighters, Muse) and Marcello at Sticky Audio Labs in NYC. Pre-orders are available now at https://tempt.ffm.to/temptalbum.
The quartet have released a new single — the sparkling melodic rock anthem “Burn Me Down” — from the upcoming debut. The single is available to stream and/or download now across all digital platforms here.

“Our new single ‘Burn Me Down’ delves into the intense and addictive nature of a toxic love,” reveals Allen. “It captures the bittersweet realization that someone has the power to consume you completely, even when you know it’s not healthy. It’s a raw expression of the conflicting emotions that arise when you can’t resist the fire that’s destined to burn you.”
Marcello shares, “‘Burn Me Down’ reflects the chaos of passion and desire. We wrote it with driving riffs and electrifying energy to capture that feeling. it’s about the kind of love that both exhilarates and destroys, and the inner turmoil we experience when we’re caught in its relentless cycle, unable to escape the allure of someone who has the power to ignite and consume us.”
“Burn Me Down” follows the band’s irresistible May single “Roses”—a celebration of the human spirit and the power of positive energy—along with recently shared tracks including a cover of Queen’s classic hit “We Will Rock You” and “Living Dangerous (feat. Dorothy),” the latter of which was seen included on the soundtrack for the Better Noise Film’s 2022 horror-thriller The Retaliators. Tempt have also earned admiration from audiences across the country by appearing as openers on arena stages with acts including Iron Maiden, Shinedown, Alter Bridge and Theory of A Deadman and opening for Bon Jovi at Madison Square Garden.”
