According to TMZ, the medical examiner who viewed Takeoff’s body says he was shot multiple times with wounds in his head and torso. It also appears the police have concluded their investigation and have prepared his body for funeral services.

Arrangements for his funeral have not been released to the public, but questions surrounding who pulled the trigger are circulating. TMZ also reported the police have a person of interest in his death and that person was seen holding a gun at the time of the shooting.

That person was also closely related to former Migo members, Takeoff and Quavo.

One-half of the Unc & Phew duo and former Migos member Takeoff was recently shot dead. The rapper was reportedly at a bowling alley in Houston at the time of the shooting.

In the early hours of Tuesday, November 1, Takeoff, one-third of the Migos group made up of Quavo, his uncle, and Offset, his cousin, passed away after being shot in Houston. The late rapper was 28 years old.

According to TMZ, Takeoff was fatally shot in a bowling alley in Houston after a dice game went awry. The multi-platinum rapper was shot in or near his head and was declared dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Houston Police Department claims that at least two others were shot at the scene. However, the victims only suffered injuries and are currently receiving treatment. The police responded to calls about the shooting at 1201 San Jacinto at 2:40 am.

When police arrived at the scene, they were met by a large crowd and found a man on the floor with a gunshot wound. According to HPD Lt. Salazar, an investigation is ongoing, and the department will appreciate any information on the shooting. In addition, the HPD confirmed that Quavo and Takeoff were in attendance, and the deceased was Takeoff

This tragedy takes place in the wake of the duo’s recently dropped, top-charting album, Only Built For Infinity Links, and releasing the visuals to “Messy” this past Monday.

In an unconfirmed twist, a Twitter user, @triracialangel2, claims Takeoff was not killed over a dice-rolling altercation. The user, who claimed to have been at the scene, said things escalated over a joke Quavo took a dislike to and did not let go.

Fans have tweeted about their disbelief and have extended their condolences to the rapper’s loved ones. One reaction consists of videos of the incident with screenshots of texts from an individual who was allegedly at the bowling alley.

They claimed Takeoff was just an innocent bystander when Quavo appeared to not be taking too well to losing during the dice game.

British boxer, Chris Eubank Jr, took to Twitter, saying he wished he did not have to talk about “another young black star being killed.”

Another user, who goes by @adinross, also expressed his shock.

Relationship expert Toni Tones said:

“Devastating news this morning. My thoughts are with Davido and Chioma, as well as Takeoff’s loved ones.”

Before their recent schism, the trio were regular hitmakers. Takeoff joined the group in 2008 when they were still known as the “Polo Club.” They had middling success until they released their 2013 hit, “Versace.” In 2016, they followed this up with “Bad and Boujee,” a massive commercial success, peaking at No. 1 in the US.

Their success came alongside multiple collaborations with many artists, including Drake (“Walk It Talk It”) and Nicki Minaj (“Motorsport”).

The trio broke off in 2022, with Offset electing to walk alone while Quavo and Takeoff stayed together.
