Some people are filled with honesty and loyalty. In the wake of Steph G’s debut mixtape, “Like A G,” which contains 12 tracks, the Brooklyn rapper released her latest project on Oct. 28.

Honesty Is At The Core Of Steph G’s Character

The title was influenced by Steph G’s name and the famous slogan, “Keep It G.” She wants listeners to know that she keeps her word like a G. Keeping your word signifies a lot; it is called keeping it real. A favorite quote of hers is “Steph G, Like A Motherf*cking G.”

A person’s ability to keep their word all the time is uncommon. However, when you do so, others have the impression that they can rely on you.

Brooklyn Rapper Fuses True Life Events With Her Music

As a result of this project, Steph has demonstrated her creativity and ability to integrate her life experiences into music, making her a talented musician. Each track on the “Like A G” tape provides a glimpse of what Steph G is about, what she stands for, and what she enjoys doing. In addition, the versatility and vulnerability of this project contribute to its uniqueness.

Furthermore, a track like “Ice Box” or “Not Worth The Money” evokes the image of a hurt woman, accompanied by a melodic hook provided by Alex Za. Music is another medium for telling stories. Therefore, artists are free to express their life experiences through their music, which typically results in a feeling of relief.

In contrast, the songs “Chopped Cheese,” “DangerZone,” and “Money in Your Face” are more enjoyable and captivating.

A Clever Approach From The Brooklyn Rapper

Moreover, tracks such as “Thats facts,” “Go Live,” and “U Buggin” are reminiscent of Steph’s gangsta roots. However, she approaches the “U Buggin” track more creatively, almost as if it were a conversation between her and Sha G & J Da Don.

Before the release of Like A G, the 29-year-old Brooklyn rapper released three singles, including “Danger Zone” and “Paramount” feat. K Goddess, and “P. Power” featuring Brini Blanco. The artist also released a series of freestyles, “Downfall” and “I Ain’t No Joke,” on AMPD Exclusive.

Steph G Before Acquiring Fame

A native of Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, Steph grew up living with her family. In addition, she grew up in an artsy environment, but her professional music career began in 2021. The title of her very first single was “No Runnin.”

You can now stream Like A G on all streaming services, Spotify and Apple Music. For more information on Steph G, visit her social media, Instagram – @stephg.
