Lisa: Hi Reginald! What first got you into music?

Reginald: My broken heart got me into music. I used the experience as a way to express the pain I was feeling.

Lisa: What did you want to become when you were a child?

Reginald: I wanted to join the military which I actually did.

Lisa: If someone asks, how do you describe your music to people, besides from genre?

Reginald: I describe my music as a journey into my life as it is currently, in the past, and in the future.

Lisa: What is your creative process like?

Reginald: It varies but sometimes I hear in my mind’s eye a melody that I then hum and record to my phone. I then write lyrics to those melodies. Once complete I’m off to the studio.

Lisa: I really your single “I Get Up”. Can you tell me more about it?

Reginald: Sure, I sometimes purchase beats from beat makers. I purchased this one from beatmaker daveosbeats. When I first heard it, I realized it was kind of special and immediately began writing lyrics to it. It is a song about how I and others relate to this new normal.

Lisa: Your soon to be released single “In My Arms Tonight” is centered around love. What inspired you to write it?

Reginald: Love inspired me to write In My Arms Tonight. The emotion of love is always with me. I
sometimes get a strong urge just to hold and cuddle. So, one night when I was in that zone the words began to flow.

Lisa: And what can we expect from it?

Reginald: I expect those that are lovers of emotional love lyrics to connect to the experience and enjoy the feeling of this love song.

Lisa: What is one message you would give to your fans?

Reginald: I appreciate each and every one that enjoys my music. I do this for you. I hope one day to write a song that will be timeless and that you and your future generations will love forever.

Lisa: What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Reginald: I am also a business owner so I would devote more time to it.

Lisa: From your voice we know that Smokey Robinson was your music inspiration. What other musicians have inspired you throughout your career?

Reginald: Howard Hewett, Luther Vandross, and Kevin Ross recently have been on my music radar.  Both Kevin and I are from DC.  I hope on day to connect and collaborate with him.

Lisa: Are you planning to collaborate with any other artist?

Reginald: I am currently looking to connect with several artists. Stay tuned for that!

Lisa: What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Reginald: Never let someone else make a choice that is yours’s to be made.

Lisa: What’s next for Reginald?

Reginald: Thanks for asking. I am currently working on a song titled Get Up With You. The song and the video should release on Friday October 2, 2020.

Thank you!
