Re-Live Jessie James Decker's 'Dancing With The Stars' Journey Following Recent Elimination

On Monday evening(Oct. 24), Jessie James Decker’s time as a contestant on Season 31 of Dancing With The Stars! (DWTS) came to an end.

During the show, the 10 remaining couples took to the dance floor to show off their choreographed pieces to a Michael Bublé song. After performing to Bublé’s hit song “Come Dance With Me,” Decker and her dance partner, Alan Bersten, finished in the bottom two and were ultimately eliminated from the competition.

The singer, songwriter, author, entrepreneur, and mom took to social media to reflect on her time on the show. In her caption, she confessed that looking back on the moment when she was first asked to compete, she never would have believed that she would make it as far as she did. Decker also said that the experience “tested” her and “challenged” her “in a diff way than anything in my career.”

She added, “I am SO proud that I stepped out of my comfort zone and did something that scared the shit out of me!”

The “Should Have Known Better” singer continued, gushing about her dance partner, Bersten, who has been a part of the show since season 20.

“But more than anything…. I met @alanbersten 💕❤️ who I will miss most of all. He is my family now and we all love him with all our hearts. He believed in me, pushed me when I felt I wasn’t good enough and made me feel like I could get out there shine even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you Alan❤️ I love you so much and I am proud of what we did together!!!! I will see you soon and thanks to everyone who voted for us❤️”

Finally, Decker shared words of gratitude for those she met both on camera and behind the scenes of DWTS. Although it is bittersweet that this chapter has come to an end, the star revealed her eagerness to return home to her husband and former NFL star Eric Decker, and their three kids.

“To the amazing DWTS team, and my fellow cast mates, we will be friends forever❤️❤️💕But now it’s time to get back home to Tennessee to be with my babies and my love Eric. They sure did miss their mama❤️ ✈️✨❤️🙏”

Re-live her journey on Dancing With The Stars! Below:

For their first routine, Decker and Bersten were decked out in full denim ensembles as they danced the Cha Cha to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s during the Premiere Party Night. Despite sharing that she had “never been more nervous in my career” while taking the stage for the first time, Decker showed off her true skills and didn’t miss a beat.

They put their acting skills to the test for week two, which included an Elvis-themed night. While wearing a high-slit skirt and cropped leather jacket, Decker showed off her skills as she danced the Foxtrot to Elvis’ “Trouble.” “It’s hard as hell and there are moments I feel defeated and like I’m never gonna get it but when we hit the ballroom and we do the dang thing I feel victorious and proud of myself for giving it my best!!!,” she wrote on Instagram.

On week three, Decker poured her heart into her performance to “Goldfinger” by Shirley Bassey. She “went all gold” as she glistened from head to toe, making her shine as she danced the rumba with Bersten.

Things got spooky in the next round when the dance partners got into the Halloween spirit a little early. Decker barred a close resemblance to Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in the Disney original movie, Hocus Pocus, while Bersten channeled her zombie boyfriend. In honor of the release of the film’s sequel, Decker and Bersten danced the Jive to Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy’s recording of “One Way Or Another” from the new movie.

Decker’s worlds collided during week five of Dancing With The Stars! The full denim outfits returned this week as they performed the impressive Tango routine to her own song, “Blue Jeans.”

“Feelin like a denim king and queen 👖✨☺️,” she wrote in her caption.

The performances didn’t stop there though. Decker and Bersten got another chance to win over the viewers this week. For their second performance, they danced the Viennese waltz to “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson while dressed in their stunning attire that matched the “Prom Night” theme. The partners were also crowned prom king and queen for being the last ones left on the dance floor during the marathon.

Things heated up during their final performance in week six. Decker and Bersten gave their all to their salsa dance to Michael Buble’s “Come Dance With Me” as they wowed the audience with their bright outfits. Decker was complimented on her improvements each week and her ability to show how much fun she’s having on stage.

In the midst of her time on the show, Decker was also working on her latest release, a duet with Billy Currington titled, “I Still Love You.”

This song marks Currington’s first music release since his 2021 album, Intuition. This full-length project followed his songs “Seaside” and “Details,” which dropped in 2020 and 2019. With the new song, he was also given an excuse to make his return to social media. The hitmaker resurfaced on Instagram for the first time since he unveiled his last record in 2021 to share the news of the recent release.

For Decker, this song follows the release of her previous track, “Grow Young With You,” and her 2021 EP, The Woman I’ve Become.
