Miranda Lambert Announces First Book, 'Y’ALL EAT YET? Welcome to The Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen'

Throughout Miranda Lambert’s career, she has received countless accolades and honors, released eight solo studio albums, and earned 10 No. 1 radio singles, and now, she can add “author” to her successful resume.

The country music superstar has announced that she has written her first book with Dey Street Books titled, Y’ALL EAT YET? Welcome to The Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen.

She took to social media to announce the news. Her caption read, “This is something I never thought I’d say, but…..I’m releasing a book!!!! ‘Y’all Eat Yet?’ is a collection of recipes and stories from my pretty bitchin’ kitchen to yours 💕I was blessed to be raised by two generations of hell-raising, hard-working women who knew how to make people feel good. This is a look into our lives and the food we’ve made along the way.”

This project, which goes on sale April 25, 2023, shares an inside look into Lambert’s life off stage, on her farm and on the road. She also discusses her beloved Airstream trailers, her signature fashion sense, and her decorating style, and allows her readers to learn about her Texas roots, which made her the person she is today. Growing up, she was strongly influenced by the empowering women around her, including her mother, grandmother, and her mother’s tight-knit group of girlfriends.

These relationships taught her about the importance of female friendship and the bonds that women share. Plus, along the way she learned a thing or two about how to be a good host, which entails making the right kind of food and drink.

“Watching my mom and her friends, I saw the way pitching in, working together, loving music and being there for each other is the greatest gift you can have in life. I think my mom inherited that gift from her mom, because they both attracted the most awesome group of girlfriends,” says Lambert.

In her book, the “Actin’ Up” singer credits this female tribe for her loyally and inviting personality. Since each of the 50 recipes in Y’ALL EAT YET? has been handed down from her mom, grandma and those cherished friends, readers will be well-equipped for any event that may come up, like porch parties, road trips, the holidays and celebratory gatherings with loved ones.

While she got her hospitality skills from these strong women, Lambert has her father to thank mostly for her love for music. She grew up watching him play guitar, and it wasn’t long before she caught an interest in writing songs. The East Texas native began traveling throughout Texas as a teenager that was chasing her down musical dreams. Back then, Lambert began her career by making her own CD and now, she has a major Nashville record deal.
