Mat Zo Returns to Anjunabeats With Uplifting Track, "Closure"

Returning to Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats, Mat Zo is back with “Closure.”

According to a press release, the new track is a “spiritual successor” to “Easy,” Zo’s collaboration with Porter Robinson, a generational dance anthem turning 10 this year. And it’s not hard to see why as the track embodies the uplifting, dancefloor-ready feel of its predecessor.

The renowned electronic music producer has masterfully incorporated his own vocals atop punchy drums and smooth pads, cultivating a soulful and upbeat feel.

“The vocal for ‘Closure’ is me doing my best falsetto,” says Zo. “I’m not a good singer, but anyone can sound good after enough takes. It took a whole day just to get it right and even then it took a lot of editing to make it sound okay.”
