Luke Bryan and his wife, Caroline, are celebrating 16 years together. The couple took to social media on Thursday (Dec. 8) to honor this milestone with a few heartfelt words and plenty of fun memories.
Caroline was first to deliver a compilation of their photos over the years. As Barry White’s “You’re The First, The Last, My Everything” plays in the background, a series of images plays in a slideshow, giving an inside look on the different phases of life they have conquered together so far.
Her caption read, “Sweet 16!!!! Happy anniversary Love Bug…16 years ago we had zero clue what we were stepping into. The good, the bad, silly moments and stupid arguments. It’s been worth it all and I love you more every year! ❤️ @lukebryan”
Then, Luke poured his heart out in his post as he gushed over his beautiful wife. The country star paired his loving message with a hilarious photo that truly represents all the fun they have together.
“Happy 16th anniversary love. It is so amazing sharing this life with you. Thank you for putting up with all my craziness I throw your way. I’ve loved you since the second I saw you. It’s truly remarkable what we’ve done together. I love you too the moon and back and here’s to 100 more. Love you,” he wrote.
Their paths first crossed in 1998 a bar called Dingus Magee’s in Statesboro, Georgia. At the time, they were both attending Georgia Southern University. First, they became friends, but it was only a couple weeks before sparks started to fly and they officially dating.
After about a year, they pumped the breaks and eventually decided to go their separate ways. Over the years, they kept in touch periodically and one night, Caroline found herself in a bar where Bryan was playing. After they saw each other in the crowd that night, they got a second chance at love.
Caroline and the country star said “I Do” on December 8, 2006 at their destination wedding in Turks and Caicos. Now they are raising five children together, Thomas Boyer (“Bo”) Bryan and Tatum (“Tate”) Christopher Bryan, along with Bryan’s two nieces, Jordan and Kris, and his nephew, Til, who they adopted after several family tragedies.
So after all these years after a successful, happy marriage, Caroline told Bobby Bones that they key is “Talk, talk, talk. Don’t don’t ever not tell each other how you’re feeling. And there is no secret as long as both people are in and putting it in work, but always talk.”
Their anniversary comes on the heels of Luke Bryan’s last few shows in Las Vegas for 2022. After celebrating in Mexico for his annual festival, Crash My Playa, he will head back to sin city for Luke Bryan: Vegas at Resorts World Theatre. The extended dates will run from February 1 until April 1.
“I love doing these headlining shows in Vegas because the intimate room at Resorts World allows me to really connect to the crowd in such a different way,” says Luke. “Sitting at the piano each night has become one of my favorite moments in the show.”
Bryan is also preparing to return to his judging seat on American Idol’s 21st season, which is set to premiere in the Spring of 2023.
