Kodak Black had words for 21 Savage after the ATL rapper boasted that he would “smoke” him in a Verzuz showdown. During a Twitch live stream with popular streamer Kai Cenat on Wednesday, 21 doubled down on his recent statements that he would beat any of his fellow 2016 XXL Freshmen.

“I’m smoking Kodak,” 21 said. “Nah, Kodak got some sh*t, though. It just depends on how n***as play it, how it goes. N***as be acting like I don’t got that sh*t, that’s what be the problem. People be forgetting. I don’t know what n***as be thinking.”

21 Savage then reminded fans of some of his best achievements, including the fact that his first album, Issa Album, went platinum with no features.

Kodak Black heard 21 Savage’s statement and went to Instagram Live to issue his response. Yak suggested that 21 has been dodging attempts to arrange the Verzuz battle.

“21 don’t want the smokes, man,” the “Super Gremlin” artist said. “That n***a ain’t say nothing yet. I done DM’d that n***a. Man, wassup? Run it. I done hit Verzuz. Don’t be capping on this internet, homie. You ain’t ready to stand up in that fire, boy.

Kodak then mentioned 21 Savage’s Her Loss partner Drake, who has also worked with Black in the past. “Drake know that n***a don’t want the smokes. Drake know what’s going on boy,” he teased. “Me and Drake got a few songs, homie. We gon’ see when Drake put them b****es out.”

However, Kodak offered his respect to 21 Savage and complimented Her Loss, which dropped last week. He also called the album 21’s best body of work yet.

21 Savage responds to Kodak’s challenge

Kai Cenat played Yak’s Instagram Live response during the Twitch stream, capturing the Slaughter Boss leader’s reaction on camera.

“Kodak smoking dope,” 21 Savage remarked. “We gon’ do it. We gon’ see what’s up. I’m keen to smoke, I love smoke. I go to sleep dreaming about smoke. I day dream bout it. I’m in love with smoke.”

Fellow 2016 XXL Freshman Desiigner also took issue with 21’s statements, boasting of his platinum records.

“Ay man, why you talking like that?’, the “Panda” artist said in an online video. “You’re 21. I went platinum 20 times. Stop playing.”
