You can watch the video interview in French below:

Lisa: Hi Francois! What first got you into music?

François: To answer this question, I need to tell you about the beginning of my life … First, I’ve born from two Art Painters families. I’ve ever been interested in Artistic things … At home, we had no TV and my parents used to listen to the radio. They were not musicians, but they appreciated Classical and Jazz Music. And, my elder sister, who studied piano during eleven years and wanted to be a Concert Piano Player, used to play Classical Records. So, this has been my Musical Education …

Lisa: What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

François: At first, I’m a Graphic Artist. I’ve ever been a creative person. I always have ideas on my mind … For example : I love to arrange photos for my Artist Friends, as Colleen Stewart, Brie Darling, Stella Vander and others … and create videos, too …

Lisa: How would you describe the music that you typically create?

François: I don’t know if it’s a typical music. I just know that I’ve been influenced my many others … I began to have music ideas in my mind when I was a teenager. So, I desired to concretize this music … And I’m a self learner, as many others … Michel Berger, who I met in 1976, was a self leaner, too …

Lisa: You’ve been in music busines a long time. You are one of the pioneers when it comes to using computers in music. What were those first experiences like, and do you think it turned out as you’ve expected it to be today. What is your creative process like?

François: Being in Music Business is not really the case, even though I met Michel Berger and France Gall in 1976 … The reality is that Music is a living for very few musicians ! ! ! Many talented musicians can’t live on their Music ! … I don’t think I’m a pioneer in using a computer in music. In the sixties and the seventies, I was fascinated by multi-tracks recording. My dream was making my own music, but I couldn’t get a multi-tracks recorder, and I wasn’t a skilful musician to play all the instruments needed … And I had no place and no means to get all this ! ! ! … So, at the end of the Eighties, I wanted to know more about Music made with Computer …

Lisa: I really loved your song “Elegance”. Can you tell me more about it?

François: I’ve ever been seeking Aesthetic first in all things … I imagined a song to play in a Fashion Show … I wrote it directly in English …

Lisa: What’s it about, and how did you get inspiration to write it?

François: I wrote this song, because I think that Elegance is not only a matter of physical interest. But I think that Elegance comes from inside a person … And everyone can improve it …

Lisa: How do you nourish your creative side when you’re not working?

François: For me, Art is a Way to Bear Positive and Upbuilding Things … Art is in many things … I need to spend time in Natural Spaces as Wild Beaches and Forests … I Love Nature and Animals …

Lisa: And how do you avoid burnout?

François: I’ve been a depressive person from my very childhood, but it’s the case for many others … So, during years, I’ve been analyzing situations and circumstances … From the end of 2015, I spent three years in burn out, after my parents past away. I also, lost my job, because of an accident on my work place. I had to cope with a difficult and unfair situation. I couldn’t work physically anymore, so, Art was the only way out ! … Even though it’s not a living, it makes me happy ! ! !
But I’m lucky to be a creative person ! … And in 2019, I decided to cut off negative people … And incredible things began to happen to me ! ! ! Colleen Stewart and Nikoletta Skarlatos came to meet me in Paris, when in France ! ! ! I couldn’t believe it ! ! ! …

Lisa: If you had an unlimited budget and your schedule was free, what would your dream music video look like?

François: I’d love to make a video including friends and other artists I want to support … I’d love to make different videos for myself and for Colleen Stewart, too … She is a Lady I appreciate and respect very much …

Lisa: What is one message you would give to your fans?

François: Always Seek First Positive and Upbuilding Things ! ! !

Lisa: At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

François: Some people said to me : ‘After I hear your Music, I Feel Better ! ! !’ So, this is the Most Beautiful Things that can be heard ! ! !

Lisa: If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

François: I hope the industry could be more affordable, maybe a little more ‘crafty’ …

Lisa: What are you working on right now, and what’s next for you?

François: I’m waiting for my Album in CD Version. And now I’m working on the French Versions of my Songs for Big TV Project … Sometimes, I think and write directly in English even though it’s not my mother language … As I say : ‘I’ve born in France, but I’ve ever felt International’ …

Thank You for your Kindness and the interest you get in what I do ….
Francois
