Dream On is an indie rock band from the UK. None of them are strangers to touring or music, though they’re a pretty new projects.

Dream On is now available on Spotify, a big step for the band. Their sound has always been polished and classic enough for Spotify. They take you back to nineties indie and their modern equivalent would be Beach Fossils.

Andy, George and Howard have all toured as musicians in various projects before Dream On. Andy worked in folk clubs for years before forming the band and honed his songs there.

Lisa: Define the mission of “Dream on”. Also, how did the band get together, is there some interesting story behind it.

Dream On: Mission of dream on , get people to use their subconscious mind more positively. Visualising improvements / situations . This is the future . Think HG wells the time machine !

Lisa: Is there an album coming up anytime soon? If yes, please tell me more about it.

Dream On: We have an album coming soon . The album will broadly focus on positive feels and negative feels . Light and dark . The paradoxical nature of emotion and the mind

Lisa: What types of change do you feel your music can initiate?

Dream On: I think we can encourage the listeners to enter a dream like state like a daydream where worries erode and a better sense of well being and confronting fears head on

Lisa: Do you tend to follow any pre-defined patterns when composing a song?

Dream On: I am a great beIiever that al music is derivative and we can only build our house on the foundations of what has been laid before . So in that we are new but evolved , music

Lisa: How did you document the music while it was being formulated?

Dream On: I started with a 4 track recorder , putting basic layers down , then an 8 track over time , more layers ! Eventually I demo’d track in a studio and then worked with my producer Itay , who is a top producer

Lisa: Describe your approach to recording.

Dream On: My approach to recording is , to work hard and focus on the music , not the history of the studio or whatever .

Lisa: What non-musical entities and ideas have impacted your music?

Dream On: Really influenced by visual art . For me there is a correlation between visual and audio art

Lisa: What advice or philosophy might you impart to other musicians, be it in forms of creativity, technical stuff, the business side of it, or anything else?

Dream On: Advising other musicians: work hard , pay your dues in the small clubs , and follow your art , don’t chase the music business

Lisa: What is your view on technology in music?

Dream On: I am not really a tech musician, but I appreciate my producer Itay ‘s ability

Lisa: What are your plans for the future?

Dream On: We plan to finish our album and then gig or tour if things open up again
