Nashville’s end-of-summer music festival, Deep Tropics, is bringing Gorgon City, SG Lewis, What So Not, and more to Bicentennial Park.

The fifth edition of Deep Tropics Music, Art, & Style Festival is returning to Bicentennial Park in Nashville, TN, on August 18-19, with a lineup sure to please both house and bass music lovers alike. Put on by the nonprofit organization Deep Culture, their goal is to be “the greenest festival in the US,” and just about everything you’ll encounter at the event is recyclable, compostable, or reusable, from the art to the infrastructure and everything in between. In 2021, 79% of the festival’s waste was kept from entering landfills, while 2022 boasted an even more impressive 93%.

Stellar ecological efforts aside, Deep Tropics is bringing a stacked lineup for 2023 with headliners Gorgon City, SG Lewis, What So Not, and one mystery headliner yet to be announced. House heads can shuffle to the beats of Hayden James, Sonny Fodera, KREAM, DJ Minx, Eli & Fur, Simon Doty, Coco & Breezy, and Lux Velour, among others, at the Meru Amphitheater. Additionally, bass lovers can relish in the sounds found at the Lotus Stage, which is set to feature the likes of Khiva, Smoakland, VEIL, Justin Hawkes, Inzo, Saka, Ravenscoon, Redrum, and Parkbreezy.

The Congo Soundsystem stage is also bringing some heat with performances from artists ranging from Akarsh and Charles Meyer to Fear & Lowe and XTNCT, adding even more to this already stacked lineup. There are still three blurred names to be announced, and Deep Tropics never fails to throw intimate late-night after-parties at clubs all over Nashville following the event each night – so stay tuned for more details.

Tickets for Deep Tropics go on sale this Friday, March 17, at 12pm CT via their website, so be sure to scoop yours if you plan on joining in on the fun in Music City this August!
