Just ahead of Miami Music Week, renowned producer, DJ, and founder of Black Book Records, Chris Lake, has made a triumphant return with the highly awaited fifth edition of Black Book ID’s. Having previously released the third chapter during last year’s run of shows in Miami and the fourth in July of the same year, the label’s leader was locked and loaded to drop another volume. Black Book ID’s: Chapter 5 also marks the 50th release on Black Book Records since its start in 2017, further adding to the hype for this release.

Black Book Records’ Chapter 5 is packed with high-energy tracks that showcase the diverse talents of its featured artists. A VIP edit of Chris Lake and Green Velvet‘ beloved collaboration “Deceiver” kicks off the four-track ride. Initially kept as an exclusive track in Chris Lake’s sets, he announced in 2021 that it would not be officially released. However, after two years, he finally relented and released the final version, much to the delight of fans worldwide.

Tony Romera arrives next with his groovy deep-house cut of “Pitch Thing.” This track is a testament to the French artist’s ability to craft infectious basslines that will undoubtedly have the dancefloor moving along with it. The driving beat of the track is expertly complemented by a mesmerizing melody, making for a truly electrifying listening experience. Guy Mac’s Babba” is a dynamic and fast-pasted house tune that showcases his skillful use of intricate rhythms and percussive elements. The track’s rolling bassline and soaring synth melodies really highlight Mac’s ability to craft mesmerizing soundscapes that build and evolve throughout the track’s duration.

Before closing the curtains, Hank K’s Tooka Took” gives a drum-driven cut gem with a driving beat that makes one want to groove and dance all night. The track’s hypnotic rhythm and mesmerizing melody create a sense of intensity that will get any crowd wanting to move from left to right.
