Chase Rice Looks Towards New Music And New Tour Dates In 2023

Chase Rice’s recent announcement proves that he is preparing for a busy year ahead. On Monday (Dec. 12), he revealed his plans to hit the road for his headlining Way Down Yonder Tour in the spring of 2023. The news of this trek comes hot on the heels of Rice’s announcement of his upcoming album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell

Rice took to social media to share the news of his upcoming stint of shows with the caption, “Can’t wait for ya’ll to hear this new music – see y’all in 23.”

The tour presented by Coors Banquet is named after Rice’s latest release off the forthcoming album, “Way Down Yonder,” which was penned by Rice along with Hunter Phelps, John Byron, Blake Pendergrass and Corey Crowder during a writing retreat in Florida.

The multi-Platinum singer/songwriter will launch his tour on March 3 in Laughlin, NV. and run for 23 dates across the U.S. Rice will make stops in iconic theaters such as Nashville Ryman Auditorium, Boston’s House of Blues and Athens’ Georgia Theatre with special guests Avery Anna, Tyler Braden, AshlandCraft, Dalton Dover, Kameron Marlowe, Read Southall Band and Conner Smith on select dates. The tour will wrap on April 29 in Rice’s birthplace of Daytona, FL.

The news of Rice’s next full-length project dropped on Thursday (Nov. 17), which also happened to be his parents’ anniversary. Choosing this date to announce his next project was no accident. It coincides with the sentiment behind this record that starts with an image of his late father, Daniel on the front, and a current photo of his dog Jack on the back.

Having this photo on the front and Jack on the back perfectly reflects both aspects of the title, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, which is a combination of two songs featured on the 13-track collection.

“I love the idea of, you know, having that one man who’s been the most important person in my life, who’s been the most influential person in my life on the front,” Rice previously told Country Now. “Then on the back, I really wanted the new phase of my life, which is having a dog and understanding for the first time in my life what it’s like to have responsibility like that.”

Each track on I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell was recorded at the “Ready Set Roll” singer’s rural Tennessee home-turned-studio. In 2020, Rice made the decision to strip things back and start making the music he wanted to make.

This led to the decision that he wouldn’t write with click tracks and instead, simply embrace the raw, natural sounds they created. “I wanna focus on these songs and make the songs the best they could possibly be before I start focusing on anything else.”

The new music will serve as a follow-up to his three-part project, The Album, which features his latest No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and his platinum-certified Top 10 hit, “Lonely If You Are.”

In addition to “Way Down Yonder,” Rice has given fans a taste of what’s to come on the project with tracks like “If I Were Rock & Roll,” “Key West & Colorado.”

Fans will get to experience all the raw, authentic talent of this project on Rice’s upcoming tour. Tickets to all dates go on sale Thursday (Dec. 15) at 10 a.m. local time via ChaseRice.com, with pre-sales beginning Tuesday (Dec. 13) at 10 a.m. local time.
