Rappers are committing their good deeds just in time for the holiday season by helping the less fortunate. Acts that some rappers are displaying involve handing out free toys and stocking stuffers.

Several rappers show their care for others during the holiday season. Here are some rappers that are in the holiday spirit and giving back to their communities:

21 Savage & Latto

Atlanta rapper 21 Savage was recently honored by the state of Georgia for his contributions. On Dec. 21, state representative Billy Mitchell named that day “21 Savage Day” in Georgia. 

The Her Loss rapper hosted a toy drive on Dec.21 with his Leading by Example Foundation to pass out toys to children and their parents for his 4th annual Grant-A-Wish event. 

Fellow Atlanta rapper, Latto was given the key to Clayton County, where she also gave back $250K in gifts at a Christmas Drive in her hometown. 

Dave East & A$AP Ferg

New York rappers Dave East and A$AP Ferg hosted a “Harlem Holiday Toy Drive” to pass out toys to children in Harlem. The event was sponsored by Cash App, Tidal, and Gap

The event was also attended by legendary fashion designer Dapper Dan. In a video on Twitter, Dave East greets guests while A$AP Ferg gives out toys and bikes to children of Harlem.

Gunna

Atlanta rapper Gunna, who was released from prison for his RICO case, was set to host his annual “Gunna’s Great Giveaway” at a Walmart in South Fulton, Georgia on Dec. 18, but Walmart canceled the event due to security concerns. 

Gunna and his sunglasses brand Goodr, made sure the 1,000 families that signed up for the giveaway were taken care of. Gunna and his team sent the families gift cards, and gifts that totaled $100K.

The holiday season is a time when many families watch their favorite movies together, and SOHH has listed top five holiday movies to watch.

Five films fans can watch this holiday season include 2007’s This Christmas, The Best Man Holiday (2013), Friday After Next (2002’s), Last Holiday (2006), and The Perfect Holiday (2007).
